What is a Product Ad?
With a Product Ad, the selected product is placed as a text ad above the organic search results at position 1-5. Thus you can place your product ahead of the competitors and increase your visibility.
The ads are displayed to matching search queries on the search results pages of chembid.com. They correspond visually to an organic search result and are marked as „Ad“.
What is the Ad Manager?
The Ad Manager provides an easy-to-use user platform that allows you to create manage and analyze your Product Ads independently.
How much does it cost to use the Ad Manager?
The use of the Ad Manager is free of charge. Costs only arise when you are booking a package of impressions.
How much does the placement of product ads cost?
You can buy different packages of impressions.
- Option 1: 200 Impressions
- Option 2: 500 Impressions
- Option 3: 1.000 Impressions
You can view the current prices directly in the Ad Manager. Click on the „Add Impressions“ button above the dashboard to check out the current prices.
As soon as a Product Ad is displayed in a search query, an impression is counted (multiple insertions within a certain time period are not taken into account). Once all impressions have been used, your ad will no longer be displayed.
How is the invoice issued?
After you have booked a package, chembid checks and processes the order. The invoice will be sent to the billing address noted in your user account.
How do I create a Product Ad?
Select the desired product in the Ad Manager. You can search by product name and/or company. After selecting the product, you determine the countries in which the Product Ad shall be displayed. If you check the box „activate ad“, the ad will be activated automatically after it has been approved by chembid. If you do not tick the box, the ad will be displayed as a deactivated ad after release. Deactivated ads can be reactivated at any time via the button „function“.
Why should the product detail page should be created in the language of the target regions?
In order to reach the user in a language he or she understands, the language of the selected product (product detail page of the target URL) should correspond to the language of the selected target region. For example, if the product in the marketplace/webshop is created in German, the corresponding ad should only be displayed in German-speaking countries. In this way, comprehension problems are avoided.
Recommendation: Select a product in English if the target area consists of several countries with different languages.
Can I create multiple Product Ads in one process or do I have to create each ad individually?
Each Product Ad must be created separately. If your ads cover the same target region, you can use the function button while to copy your area selection to the clipboard and paste it quickly and easily when creating the next ad.
How can I edit a Product Ad?
You can edit your Product Ad by using the „Function“ button in the Product Ad overview. Please note that you can only change the target regions. With each adjustment, chembid releases the ad again. Therefore the ad is not active until it is approved by chembid. If you would like to advertise another product, please create a new Product Ad.
What is an impression?
An impression is when your Product Ad renders on the user’s screen (Multiple impressions by one user within a certain time period are filtered).
What is a click?
If a user clicks on your ad, one click is recorded (Multiple clicks by one user within a certain time period are filtered).
What is the click rate (CTR)?
The click-through-rate (CTR) represents the percentage of clicks on your ad in relation to the number of impressions.
How can I evaluate the performance of a Product Ad?
In the user dashboard, your Product Ads are listed including the performance achieved (depending on the filter selection). The impressions delivered, the clicks received and the click rate are displayed for each Product Ad. You can use the time filter to create evaluations for specific time periods.
You can also evaluate the performance by country. Use the „function“ button and then click „Reports“.
According to which factors are Product Ads delivered?
The display of your Product Ad depends on several factors. The first step is to check whether the user location matches the target area you have selected. In addition to matching user’s search term to the product, the number of competing product ads and the quality of the product detail page also play a role. The more information you enter on the product detail page (product descriptions, company details, price, and so on), the more likely it is that your ad will be delivered. If several Product Ads with the same fit are available, the system plays them out randomly.
chembid does not guarantee any impressions or any delivery of your Product Ad.
The impressions are (almost) used up. What can I do?
If the booked impressions are used up, you can add more packages by using the “add impressions” button to increase your impression contingent and guarantee the delivery of your ads.
